The Global Sports Tower (GST) is envisioned as a first-of-its-kind vertical sports destination, housing more than 40 types of athletic courts and facilities in the heart of Riyadh. Positioned along a 90‑kilometer trail network, the tower serves as the trail’s crescendo—a landmark celebrating sports, movement, and year‑round wellness. Designed to attract regional and semi-professional events, the GST is planned as an iconic destination that remains active 365 days a year.

The tower’s façade, developed in collaboration with Buro Happold, features 10‑meter‑tall precast, high‑performance concrete fins that give the building its distinctive, sculpted presence while allowing filtered daylight into the interior. This high‑performance skin draws inspiration from the traditional architecture of the Najd region, blending its solid forms with the technical precision and material expressiveness found in modern athletic apparel.
